EKD No.2 Conversion Kit for AAP01
[Design Origin]
Initially, our goal was simply to adapt unused AEG-spec handguards onto the AAP01.
After two iterations and countless refinements, we have achieved the current result.
The main body is made with advanced 3D printing materials, balancing surface smoothness and strength.
Different materials are used for different stress points to ensure the stability and longevity of the product's various parts.
A common concern with 3D-printed products is impact resistance and deformation.
For sections subject to compression—especially the threaded ring connecting the handguard—we used CNC machining to create an AEG-spec adapter ring, ensuring strength in this critical area.
Additionally, the fixed ring body is carefully designed with special dual convex spacers to ensure stability and prevent wobbling during use.
Ergonomics and Marketing Strategy
Our entire team, from top to bottom, consists of active players. Years of experience have taught us:
"Looking cool" is essential.
However, a great appearance is meaningless if the user experience does not meet the shooter's needs.
Our designers considered the average height of users in Taiwan and directly lowered the rear stock block.
When aiming, you can easily achieve a cheek weld for stability, with no visual obstructions in the shooting line.
A Tribute to a Gun That Showcases the Potential of 3D Printing
Thanks to new-generation materials, the kit is incredibly lightweight and does not add unnecessary burden.
Even though the AAP01 market has reached a high level of maturity, its affordable price and abundant parts still make it an excellent choice for a secondary weapon on the field.

Currently at Version 2.0 (different from Version 1.0 before MOA2024):
Fixes include:
- Front locking block (prevents loosening of the front section due to continuous vibration)
- Charging handle replaced with a more durable material and resized (previous versions could potentially break; this issue has been resolved)
[Installation Steps] Please read carefully before use
- Remove the AAP01 front sight and insert the main body into the EKD2 upper receiver.
- Use the included M3x10 countersunk screws to secure the two screw holes on the AAP01 rail.
- Push the rear stock block into the front upper receiver and secure it with the two included M3x6 round-head screws.
- When installing the charging handle, ensure the sloped side is facing upward. After securing the handle, tighten it with the M5x8 knurled screw.
This completes the installation of the EKD2 main body.
Note: Installation of AEG Picatinny handguards varies by brand. Please ensure your handguard specifications match and that you have the necessary DIY skills.
